Surround at Home Crop Protectant is a

both commercial and home growers because it does not rely on
toxicity--instead protects plants with a barrier film is listed for use

It sounds too good to be true, but Surround is all that and more!
Numerous government and university field studies are confirming the
effectiveness of Surround and finding new uses for it. Its active
ingredient is a specially processed, super-fine kaolin that's allowed up
to 2.5% in foods.
How does it work?
Just as you wouldn't like to crawl into a bed full of gritty sand,
insects don’t like crawling on a plant or tree covered with Surround.
Surround dries to a powdery film that sticks to insects' wings, legs,
and mouth parts, so pests quickly leave to find a more comfortable place
to feed or lay eggs.
As an extra benefit, Surround blocks light that causes sunburn, reducing
damage by over 50%.
Apply Early
Mix Surround with water (about 1/2 lb. of Surround per gallon of water)
and spray directly on your fruit and vegetables. Because it acts as a
preventative, it must be applied early, before pests arrive.
Apply only to dry foliage. Keep fruit completely covered with Surround,
especially when small. Spray every 1 to 2 weeks to ensure that new
growth receives a protective barrier. (Later in the season, when new
growth diminishes, intervals can be lengthened to 2 to 3 weeks.) Reapply
when dry foliage has lost its white appearance, such as after a heavy
rain. About 1/2 gallon of mixed spray provides one application for one
mature semi-dwarf tree.
